Pacific Air Express and Virgin Blue get IASC approval

The International Air Services Commission (IASC) has issued capacity changes and revokes frequencies for carriers to Vanuatu and Indonesia.

Pacific Air Express has been permitted to decrease it’s per week freight capacity from 35 tonnes to 17.5 tonnes on the airlines Vanuatu route.

The cargo airline noted loadings on their weekly freighter service indicated inadequate demand to hold up a twice-weekly service.

The IASC also agreed to revoke Virgin Blue’s determination, which owed 540 seats of capacity in each direction on the Indonesia route and three frequencies per week of passenger capacity beyond Indonesia to Virgin Blue.
